I have so much love I want to give
and so little time I'm offered.
But in this den of scoffers
I have not given up
the hope that I will find
one
who will love me back.
It's not the courage that I lack,
but the strength to get up
when I'm knocked down again.
Otherwise I would've gotten back up
and told you how things really are,
and how I really feel,
and let you take that
as you will.
